International Expansion for Voucher Discount App

A Cornish-based discount app has proved so popular since its launch that it’s attracting national and international interest.

Since going live the Voucher Tree app has been downloaded 5,000 times.

And its popularity has lead to the team behind it being approached by businesses in Cambridgeshire and New Zealand wanting to role out the platform.

Launched in June by Scott and Rachel Lehnhoff from Launceston-based company, Branch Media Ltd, the app is available for iPhone, iPad, iPod and Android devices.

Branch Media managing director, Scott Lehnhoff, said: “Since the soft launch in June we’ve received some fantastic feedback from the businesses that are featured and from the customers who’ve downloaded it.

“During these tough economic times people have been taking advantage of the discounts on Voucher Tree to enjoy cheaper family days out, meals, coffee and clothing.

“But it’s also been great to get interest from businesses wanting to take on the concept in different areas, both nationally and internationally.

“It reinforces the knowledge that we’ve got a great product that people like and want to use.”

The team is currently in negotiations with a New Zealand agent to set up a franchise.

And if successful it won’t be the company’s only venture Down Under.

Scott, who is originally from Australia, has also unveiled plans to launch the app in his home country.

“I’ve been chatting to contacts in Australia and they think there is a marketing for the app,” said Scott.

“We’re already going to be launching in New Zealand so it makes sense to launch in Australia.”

Voucher Tree is free for businesses to sign up to and for customers to download.

The company hope to achieve 200,000 downloads over the next 12 months for its Cornwall offering

As well as the app the discount vouchers are also available at the company’s website – www.voucher-tree.co.uk.

Amongst the businesses currently signed up and promoting offers through Voucher Tree are Flambards, Cornwall’s Crealy Adventure Park, Hustyns Leisure, Tony Pryce Sports, Wipeout Surf Clothing, Country Skittles near Hayle, Raze the Roof in Penryn and the Hall for Cornwall.
