Unique Home Stays Up for Prestigious Marketing AwardTags: Unique home Stays
Luxury holiday accommodation specialist Unique Home Stays has been nominated for a prestigious award to celebrate the company’s recent achievements in marketing.
The luxury accommodation provider, based just outside of Newquay, has been nominated for the ‘Best Marketing Strategy’ award at the Unlocking Cornish Potential (UCP) Celebration Event. The event celebrates the achievements of individuals and organisations taking part in the UCP scheme; an ESF Convergence-funded programme matching talented graduates with local businesses.
UCP graduate Claire Ray joined Unique Home Stays in July 2010 as the company’s Press Relations and Marketing Officer. During her 12 month placement, Claire has been instrumental in helping to increase annual company turnover by almost 40%, as well as as being promoted to a permanent position as Unique Home Stays’ Marketing Manager.
Claire has also been pro-active in using her contacts to generate valuable press coverage for UHS. Most recently, the company has featured in an ITV1 primetime documentary about Cornwall, which has seen revenue increase by a staggering 166% compared to the same period in the previous year.
Claire said: ‘I’m delighted that Unique Home Stays has been nominated for this award. It’s very rewarding to see the extent to which the company has grown and I’m thrilled that all of my hard work has paid off!’
Sarah Stanley, Managing Director of Unique Home Stays, said: ‘We’re delighted that all the hard work put in by Claire over the last 18 months and her continued dedication to the growth in popularity and success of Unique Home Stays has been recognised externally.
‘It also reflects the on-going commitment that Unique Home Stays, as a Cornish family-run business, has towards recognising, supporting and developing the talent and expertise that exists in county.’
The nominees will now be shortlisted, and the winners of each category will be announced at the awards ceremony, which is being held on 17 February at the Keay Theatre in Camborne.
