ShelterBox is inviting people from across the UK to join in with the first ever Big Box and Buy by turning boxes of stuff people don't need into boxes of life saving equipment that people desperately need by selling unwanted possessions in aid of ShelterBox.

Jazz and beer will be returning to St Mawes Quay for the third year running as part of the 2011 Greenbank Fal River Festival.

Taking place on Wednesday, June 1, the event will see Jacka Jazz perform from 4pm and 6pm and seashanty singers, Du Hag Owr, from 5pm.

The 2011 Cornwall Business Finalists have been announced and the competition is as fierce as ever. The Cornwall Business Awards 2011 will be awarded at St Mellion International Resort on Thursday 19th May 2011.

There has been a great reaction throughout Cornwall with hundreds of individuals, businesses and organisations raising money for The Tsunami Disaster in Japan. Much of the money is going to Cornish based charity Shelterbox. Here are a couple of up and coming events;

Cornish-based disaster relief charity, ShelterBox, is responding to a disaster on its doorstep today as severe flooding in mid-Cornwall has driven hundreds of people from their homes.

An exciting new creative competition has been launched today, giving both new and established illustrators, graphic designers and artists the chance to have their work featured alongside some of the UK’s top illustrators in a special range of charity Christmas cards for ShelterBox.
