Schoolcomms, a Cornwall based technology company that provides communication solutions for primary, secondary and independent schools across the UK, will be showcasing a new ‘Schoolcomms Payment’ service at the national industry show, the British Educational Training and Technology Show ( BETT) from 11 to 14 January  at Olympia in London.

The Schoolcomms Payment function enables parents to pay their child’s school directly and securely on line for school trips, uniforms, school dinners and any other school expenses.  The new functionality has been added to the company’s extensive suite of two way communication tools used by schools and parents, creating what is now a comprehensive one stop shop for parents.

The Schoolcomms suite of services already enables two way communications by email and text message about every aspect of school life and events, both planned and unexpected. The new service, which is available now, enables further ease of interaction and communication between parents and schools.

All of Schoolcomms solutions are designed to increase and improveefficiency and make parents’ lives easier. There is no paperwork involved in setting up the service, as everything is managed electronically.  The new system hasbeen developed to;

·         Save time for parents and schools alike

·         Reduce the risk of lost or stolen money for both students and the school

·          Parents can be sure money is used for the intended purpose

·          Improve cash flow

·         Reduce errors, with clear reports and automated tracking

In recognition of Schoolcomms’ commitment to developing services and functionality, and as a reflection of their success during recent years, the company has been shortlisted for the BETT industry award for ICT Company of the Year.

Commenting on the new service and the award shortlist, Director, David Burgess said, “The team and I are delighted to be shortlisted for this prestigious award. We are also thrilled that we are able to bring a new product to the market for 2012 and we are all looking forward to showcasing this at BETT later this month.

“By integrating our new system into our existing technology platform, we are able to provide schools and parents with a fully interactive and comprehensive two way communication tool. Schoolcomms makes it easier than ever to manage school timetables, notices of events, school closures and now paying for anything that needs to be paid for, quickly, easily and securely online.

“We have a lot planned for 2012 with additional services scheduled to launch later in the year so expect big things from Schoolcomms this year.”

Schoolcomms will be exhibiting at BETT Stand A20 from 11 – 14 January 2012.
