Cornish Technology Firm Win NASA Contract

A Penryn based technology firm have been awarded a substantial contract with NASA. Engineered Arts RoboThespian will be installed at the Kennedy Space Center in Orlando Florida by the end of Autumn 2010.

RoboThespian™ is a life-sized humanoid robot, an automated interactive actor. RoboThespian™ was created to educate, communicate, interact and entertain.

Development on RoboThespian™ first began in January 2005. Engineered Arts needed a troop of robotic actors to perform at our 'Mechanical Theatre' at the Eden Project in Cornwall. They were fantastic, tireless performers who needed no lunch.

RoboThespian™ has been seen performing in theatrical installations entertaining and educating visitors at locations in China, the Netherlands, Spain, USA, Germany and Poland.
