Organisers of Music Truro festival are calling for local musicians across all genres to be involved in the 2011 event programme.
Now in its fourth year, Music Truro is a community music festival taking place between October 17 and 22 to celebrate the wealth of musical talent in and around the city.
Funded by Totally Truro Business Improvement District and co-ordinated by Event Cornwall, the festival will feature daily events at lunchtime and after 5pm to encourage residents and workers to enjoy entertainment at a variety of venues.
BID manager Neil Scott said: “We’re building on the fantastic success of previous Music Truro events, and therefore we are searching for local musicians, both experienced and developing, to get involved.
“We are looking for anything from a ukulele player to a school rock band, a classical pianist to a choir. There is plenty on offer for participating musicians, including prizes, professional performance slots and support from music industry experts.”
To apply for any of the performance opportunities or competitions during Music Truro week, contact Becky Lush at Event Cornwall, email@example.com call 01872 888089.
