Masked Ball 2011 confirms new areas, headliners and ticket details

The Masked Ball taking place this year on Sat 30th April at Porthleven has released details regarding the event including some new areas, acts playing the event and ticket details. Artists confirmed for the Ball include AutoKratz, record label Kitsunes debut artist, who will be bringing their full live show to the main tent Saturday Night, plus a live support show from hotly tipped Killaflaw who were one of the highlights of the Secret Garden Party last year. The acts will be playing alongside the cream of Cornish DJs with all musical tastes catered for in the usual eclectic manner The Masked Ball is known for.

Some additional creative fruits have been thrown into the Ball juice this year with the extra long weekend of the Royal Wedding, organisers have taken onboard the national interest by adding a new area known as the Big Love Church famous for its appearances at Bestival which will be marrying lucky ball couples in (un)holy matrimony during the evening…(it’s not legally binding), followed by a wedding party to end all wedding parties with Sir Vinyl of the Fattest providing the night long musical sermon.

Other new additions will include an area curated by The Barnfest creative cats called The Enchanted forest….running alongside The Royal Beaconham Palace and the Village Tearooms. And just to complete your weekend Ball Bonanza (remember it’s a Bank Holiday) The doors will open back up on the Sunday for ticket holders only to the ‘Masked Chill,’ a perfect way to wind down, de-brief the night’s frolics with friends and listen to some great records, albeit just a little more chilled….
