CarpetFace & Audible1 at Toast
CARPETFACE & AUDIBLE1 are one of the most unique and entertaining live hiphop acts today, bringing a big fresh sound with an old-school classic feel.
Since their first onstage jam in 2003 this multi-talented UK- based duo have been wowing audiences worldwide with their amazing live show – a heady mashup up of MC skills, human beatboxing, electronic percussion and improvised Kaoss pad looping, served up with their trademark soulful chorus hooks, turntable trickery and fat, funky beats – all from just two maestros of music.
The group have played as European tour support for US hiphop legends De La Soul, Ugly Duckling, The Pharcyde, Breakestra, Guru & DJ Premier and Anti Pop Consortium.
They have also supported a wide variety of UK dance acts including Devlin, Mr Scruff, DJ Yoda, DJ Format, Pendulum, Faithless, Beardyman, Dub Pistols, Mr Thing, Black Twang, Ragga Twins, Asian Dub Foundation and Kano.
Due to their catchy melodic hooks, they have also been able to win over new audiences with a string of supports for mainstream rock acts including The Feeling, Kaiser Chiefs, The Verve, KT Tunstall, Snow Patrol, Scouting For Girls, Keane, The Guillemots, The Libertines and Black Rebel Motorcyle Club.
Their (often warped) sense of humour and sheer ability to entertain large crowds have also earned them support slots for renowned comedy acts such as Bill Bailey, Ed Byrne, Omid Djalili, Marcus Briggestock and Dirty Sanchez.
Collaborations with the likes of STEREO MC’s, MAD PROFESSOR / LEE SCRATCH PERRY and P.I.L’s KEITH LEVENE have only added to their credibility and cross-genre appeal, while track placements in MTV’s “Dirty Sanchez”, BBC3’s
“Bizarre ER”, Low Brain TV’s Monster Energy Xbox Live video, National Geographic’s new documentary “Pint Sized
Preachers” and Nike’s “Put It Where You Want It” ad-campaign have also ensured much exposure for their music on television worldwide
With recent radio exposure on BBC’s 6Music and 1Xtra and an ever increasing international fanbase made up of students, snowboarders, skaters and hiphop fans of all ages, CARPETFACE & AUDIBLE1 are looking forward to touring in 2012 and plan to release their debut album LAND OF THE GOOSENECK STEPPERS later on in the year.
You can catch the FREE SHOW at Falmouth Toast Bar on Friday 24th Feb http://mojofestival.net/carpet-face-and-audible-1/
