The Blair With Project in Tehidy Woods on Friday Night
Film fans in Cornwall have the chance to be scared in the woods as the Outdoor Screening season continues.
The Scary Series, presented by Skylight Cinema and Event Cornwall, will see Tehidy Woods turned into an outdoor cinema over three Friday nights this summer.
Fright fans will be able to watch The Blair Witch Project on Friday, August 3 on the big screen out doors at Tehidy Woods.
Event Cornwall’s Amy Weeks, said: “Tehidy Woods is such a beautiful location during the day, but it’s going to make a perfect creepy and dark setting for these three horror classics.
“There will be lights to and from the screen from the car park, but it may be safer to come in pairs just in case someone or something jumps out at you from behind a tree.”
Reportedly costing only $20,000 to make, The Blair Witch Project is the story of three students who travel to Maryland to create a student film about The Blair Witch: a local urban legend. But when they never return home, all that remains is the footage from their fated trip.
Skylight’s Toby Budd said: “The Outdoor Screenings have proved to be very popular over the last year.
“People want to be able to see great films in stunning locations and being in Tehidy watching a movie is perfect, although maybe a little scary!”
The Blair Witch Project starts at 8.45pm.
Gates open one hour before the film starts.
Amy added: “Our screenings will go ahead whatever the weather, apart from severe winds, so you will need to wrap up warm and dry, bring your own seats and dress appropriately for woodland terrain!”
Tickets cost £9, £7 concessions, and can be booked through the Hall for Cornwall. Call the box office on 01872 262466 or visit www.hallforcornwall.co.uk.
