Ed Sheeran & Dizzee Rascal to Headline Boardmasters

This is what you've been waiting for... We are thrilled to announce the legend that is Dizzee Rascal and Brit Award winning Ed Sheeran will be at Boardmasters 2012. Dizzee and Ed will be joined by the likes of Maximo Park, Maverick Sabre and Zane Lowe plus a host of other acts. Boardmasters 2012 is not to be missed!

He’s a rapper, songwriter, and record producer. He is Dizzee Rascal and we are thrilled to announce his appearance at Boardmasters 2012. Dizzee will be joined by megastar-in-the-making, Ed Sheeran as second headline act of the summer line-up.

Dizzee is sure to become a Boardmasters favourite with hits that will see the crowd go wild. His debut album, ‘Boy in da Corner’ won him critical acclaim from peers, fans and critics and earned the headliner the 2003 Mercury Prize. Follow-up albums include ‘Showtime’, ‘Maths + English’ and ‘Tongue n Cheek’. His last album went platinum and his entrance onto Cornwall’s festival mainstage will be truly electric!

Brit award winner Ed Sheeran has had the most phenomenal year in 2011 and we are honoured to welcome him to the Cornwall coastline. After his unforgettable performance at the Brit Awards 2012 of ‘Lego House’, Ed duly received two awards, ‘Best Male’ and ‘Best British Breakthrough’ although he should have won more...  We can’t wait to see what Britain’s most exciting young talent will bring to the Cornish coast in August.

With support from Maximo Park, Maverick Sabre, Zane Lowe, Ting Tings, DJ FRESH, Donavon Frankenreiter and The Big Pink we have been busy assembling a musical soundtrack built for your summer, forming the biggest and most eclectic line up seen at Boardmasters yet.

We also welcome - Red Light , Lissie, Jake Bugg, Ryan Keen, Peter Bruntnell, Jack Wallen, Aruba Red and Charlotte O’Connor who we are proud to introduce to Cornwall’s Festival.
